Our Theme is " Communication".
After reading about communication and its categories be ready to answer the questions: 1. What is communication? 2. How do you communicate? What is your favourite category of communication? Communication (from Latin "communis", meaning to share) is the activity of conveying information through the exchange of thoughts, messages, or information, as by speech, visuals, signals, writing, or behavior. Communication requires a sender, a message, and a recipient, although the receiver need not be present or aware of the sender's intent to communicate at the time of communication; thus communication can occur across vast distances in time and space. Communication requires that the communicating parties share an area of communicative commonality. The communication process is complete once the receiver has understood the message of the sender. Although this is a simple definition, when we think about how we may communicate the subject becomes a lot more complex. There are various categories of communication and more than one may occur at any time. The different categories of communication are: 1.Spoken or Verbal Communication: face-to-face, telephone, radio or television or other media. 2.Non-Verbal Communication: body language, gestures, how we dress or act - even our scent. 3.Written Communication: letters, e-mails, books, magazines, the Internet or via other media.
Your questions: 1. What is communication? 2. How do you communicate? What is your favourite category of communication?
